Memphis man saves driver swept away in flash flood

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man is being hailed as a hero for rescuing a driver swept into a swollen creek during flash flooding on Monday.

Jacob Edge said the parking lot at his Northeast apartment complex was nearly waist-deep in water when storms moved through the area.

A neighbor told him a car had gone into the water, and when he got there, he found the vehicle on its side, quickly filling with water.
