MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is actively hiring 32 agents for the “Tennessee Safe Initiative” task force.
A new state law took effect July 1 which created the statewide task force aimed at deciding when and where Tennessee launches extra law enforcement operations.
Under the task force, investigators can now operate in a judicial district even without a request from the local District Attorney, according to the law’s summary on the Tennessee General Assembly’s website…
