MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A judge has ordered Mercedes-Benz of Collierville and one of its employees to pay more than $20,000 in damages to a customer whose car was taken to a bar by a repair tech.
Kimberly Porter sued the dealership and service technician Derrick Nguyen after the incident. Nguyen was arrested and charged with theft back in January after taking Porter’s car, which was in for repair, to J. Alexander’s then TJ Mulligans.
Porter learned her Mercedes was no longer at the dealership after getting a notification from a third-party tracker.
