MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is accused of burglarizing a downtown store by cutting a hole in the roof and stealing tobacco products worth $150,000.
Avery Carmichael, 30, was charged with burglary of a business and theft of property $60,000- $250,000.
On June 15, a burglary was reported at Memphis Cash and Carry at 161 Carolina, police said.
The business owner told officers that suspects got into the store by cutting a hole in the roof and used a ladder to get inside.

Officers said $150,000 worth of various tobacco items were stolen from the business. Surveillance video showed the suspects had a U-Haul and a silver van during the burglary.
