Health officials have confirmed 11 cases of Cyclospora among Shelby County residents as investigators work to determine where one person contracted the parasitic illness.
The Shelby County Health Department said four of the confirmed cases are linked to international travel, while six appear to have been contracted during travel outside Shelby County. One case remains under investigation.
Cyclospora is an intestinal illness caused by the microscopic parasite Cyclospora cayetanensis.
