Memphis man killed by stray bullet while working at Nashville-area Sam’s Club

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WMC) – A Memphis man was shot and killed while working overnight at a Sam’s Club in the Nashville area.

Investigators say it was a stray bullet that killed the 55-year-old.

Victim identified as Navy veteran

Paris Carlock was a Navy veteran and a father of three. He was working for Frito-Lay, stocking shelves inside a Nashville-area Sam’s Club at about 4 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators say a bullet fired from outside a nightclub down the street pierced a metal wall at the Sam’s Club, hitting Carlock in the chip aisle. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
