Man charged in OUTMemphis shooting due in court

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A suspect accused of shooting two people at OUTMemphis in the Cooper-Young neighborhood back in May is due in court on Monday morning.

Lorenzo Matthews, 38, is charged with criminal attempt second-degree murder, employing a firearm with intent to commit a felony, and two counts of aggravated assault.

On May 5, Memphis Police say they found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds at OUTMemphis located in the 800 block of Cooper Street.

Both victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
