MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – U.S. Attorney Dunavant is excited to announce the onboarding of 3 new Assistant United States Attorneys.
The following attorneys will be joining the Memphis office:
Stephen Ragland is a highly experienced and accomplished attorney and prosecutor with over 38 years of law practice. Since 2014, Steve has served as an Assistant District Attorney General in the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office, and Steve was a partner at the Bass, Berry & Sims law firm in Memphis from 2002-2014, and an associate/partner at Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz law firm in Memphis from 1988-2002. Steve will be assigned to the White-Collar Crimes Unit in the Criminal Division.
Omar Malik is a trial attorney with over 10 years of litigation experience in Shelby County. Since November 2023, Omar has overseen operations across the campuses of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Omar also served as an Assistant District Attorney General in the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office, from 2010-2018, and 2019-2021.
