A 57-year-old Memphis, Tennessee, man was injured Wednesday afternoon when the 2023 Kenworth T680 he was driving struck a towed unit attached to a stationary 2021 Freightliner Cascadia and overturned along Interstate 29 in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred at 1:53 p.m. on September 23 on southbound Interstate 29 at mile marker 112, about two miles north of Rockport.
According to the patrol, the Kenworth was traveling southbound when it went off the right side of the roadway. The right front bumper of the Kenworth struck the towed unit of the Freightliner, which was stationary on the west shoulder of Interstate 29.
