Superintendent says MSCS has reviewed each of state’s 480 recommendations in audit

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis-Shelby County Schools Superintendent Dr. Roderick Richmond says his team has addressed each of the 480 recommendations made by the state’s forensic audit.

Richmond says MSCS’s website shows the names of the school system leaders responsible for action on each recommendation.

“We know that we have a lot of work to do and my team and I are committed to doing that work,” Richmond said. “But the auditing firm only found recommendations and observations and those things that they recommended and observed, we’re going to address those things. But I was pleased to know that there were no findings. And normally when you have a forensic audit, particularly a forensic audit of this size, there’s a possibility of findings. So I was pleased to see that there were no findings.”…
