Tupelo, MS – A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for portions of northeastern Mississippi through Saturday evening, Oct. 10, as Hurricane Isaias approaches the Mid-South with strong winds and heavy rainfall that could produce localized flooding.
According to the National Weather Service in Memphis, the storm is forecast to weaken from hurricane strength but remain a tropical storm as it moves inland, bringing sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph and gusts reaching 45 mph in affected areas.
