A Memphis concert featuring Nelly, Ja Rule, Ashanti and several other top hip-hop and R&B stars has been canceled.
On Jan. 17, FedExForum announced it would be hosting a stop on the My Platinum Playlist Tour . The show — which was to feature Nelly, Ja Rule, Ashanti and Lil Kim, among others — was set for Feb. 24 at the Downtown venue.
However, late last week, ticketholders were sent an email saying the show had been scrapped. Currently, the Ticketmaster site notes that “the event organizer has had to cancel.” No other information was given on the reasons for the cancellation.
According to Ticketmaster, those who already purchased seats will be given an automatic refund within 30 days, via the payment method used. For further details on refunds, go to Ticketmaster.com.
