MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police need your help finding the four men responsible for breaking into a South Memphis non-profit and stealing several cash registers.
It happened late Friday night at Memphis Rox, a rock climbing gym and community center.
Michelle Miller, the executive director of the facility, believes this offers an opportunity to bring good to the community.
“The people that are committing those crimes, those are the people that we would ideally like to help,” Miller said. “There’s great opportunity in Memphis — organizations, agencies, non-profits — that are here to help. And you don’t always have to run to that point of desperation.”

Miller said her gym is a prime example. Aside from offering a fun place to rock climb, their goal is to be a gathering point for the community in South Memphis regardless of background, financial status, or ability.
People who come to the gym feel that camaraderie.
“Everyone comes to the gym, and people are happy to talk to you and give you help and advice, and also just talk and hang out,” said climber Carley Fondnot.
