MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A teenager pleaded guilty Thursday to killing a Memphis pastor during a carjacking in her driveway.
Miguel Andrade, 16, will serve 20 years on a charge of second-degree murder and a consecutive eight-year sentence on a carjacking charge in connection with the death of Dr. Autura Eason-Williams . He will serve 100% of the sentence.
The lesser charges were part of a negotiated settlement. Andrade was originally charged in an indictment with first-degree murder and other charges that were not prosecuted as part of the deal.

Eason-Williams was in her driveway on Whitehaven Lane when a car with two suspects pulled up on July 18, 2022, according to a statement read in court by prosecutors.
Andrade fired shots into Eason-Williams’ vehicle, then pulled her out of the car and drove away in it, prosecutors said.
Later, the suspects carjacked another person and crashed that vehicle.
Prosecutors said officers found three suspects after the crash, one of whom was Andrade. In his possession, they said, was Eason-Williams’ key fob and the weapon used to kill her.
