Wanted man pulls drugs out of rectum during arrest: MPD

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man wanted on an attempted murder warrant allegedly pulled drugs out of his rectum in front of officers during his arrest.

On Thursday, Memphis Police received a tip that a man with an attempted murder warrant was selling drugs at a gas station on Winchester.

Officers say they saw the suspect, Ramone Ivory, make several hand-to-hand transactions at the store, which had a “no loitering/trespassing” sign at the entrance.

The task force conducted a takedown.

Ivory had a gun with 14 live rounds in the magazine, a scale and several baggies in his right pocket, according to police.

He also had warrants for Attempted First-Degree Murder and Employing a Firearm with the Intent to Commit a Felony.

After being placed into the squad car, Ivory told officers that he had drugs in his rectum. He was let out of the car and proceeded to “dig” for the drugs, according to Memphis Police.
