Southaven is throwing its support behind a plan to fund and staff a new state drug testing lab in north Mississippi. Mayor Darren Musselwhite said mayors recently met with District Attorney Matthew Barton to discuss the urgent need for a crime lab that would test drug evidence for DeSoto County criminal cases.
