Victim riddled with bullet wounds in South Memphis shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was found shot “all over”and left in critical condition after a shooting at a South Memphis store early Friday.

The man was dropped off at Regional One a few minutes after midnight. Nursing staff told police he had been shot in the head, both arms and legs, chest and back.

The victim told police he did not know who shot him. He remembered being at a BP gas station, and then his brother dropped him off at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the BP station at Crump and Mississippi Boulevard was found surrounded with crime scene tape with evidence markers on the ground. WREG’s photographer counted 36 evidence markers next to what appeared to be shell casings.

A white Nissan Maxima was found riddled with bullet holes at a store in the 700 block of South Parkway East, about a mile and a half away from where the shots were apparently fired.

Police said that vehicle had been shot more than 30 times.
