Suspect strikes multiple vehicles during police chase in Fox Meadows

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A police chase involving a suspect responsible for a carjacking ended in multiple crashes in Fox Meadows Saturday morning, according to Memphis Police.

Police say one person was transported to an area hospital in non-critical condition.

“Pretty much chaos. A whole bunch of people came out of their cars hurt and limping,” said a witness on the scene.

Witnesses say the suspect jumped out of a yellow vehicle and ran towards a gas station on the other side of the intersection. That is where they say he was taken into custody by police.

“System is broken. Maybe it starts at home. I don’t know but they don’t want to work,” said the witness. “They just rather rob, steal, whatever is convenient for them.”
