Shooting in Whitehaven leaves man critically injured

Solomon Campbell is charged with first-degree murder and four counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.

On December 12, Memphis Police officers say they responded to a shooting call in a Whitehaven apartment complex off Millbranch Road just before 7 p.m.

Officers said they found a male shooting victim lying on a couch inside the apartment. Even though he had gunshot wounds to his upper torso and upper limbs, he was responsive.

The victim was later identified as Courtney Hudson.

Hudson told police that “Santana and Solomon” did this to him when they asked who shot him. “I saw their faces,” Hudson said.

Hudson was then taken to the hospital where he died due to his injuries.

A neighbor told officers that several bullets went through her apartment during the shooting. She said three children were also in her home playing during that time.
