While employees were closing and counting the register, a man, later identified as Duncan, jumped a stone wall and went inside. Police say Duncan tried to grab the keys and cash from the drawer, which started a fight between him and two of the workers.

The fight led outside, and Duncan reportedly broke free and fled the scene on Bethel Street.

No money was taken from the scene, according to CPD.

Deputies with the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office found Duncan during a traffic stop near his home on Dixon Street. He was taken into custody and sent to the Tipton County Jail.
