MEMPHIS, Tenn – A man driving a stolen car is now in custody after crashing into a Memphis police cruiser and two other cars Wednesday morning in Whitehaven. The Memphis Police Department (MPD) said officers were responding to a suspicious person call June 26, 2024, around 6:30 a.m. in the 3100 block of Hernando Road. Officers drove behind a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The suspect then crashed into a MPD cruiser and two other cars at Millbranch Road and East Raines Road as he was trying to escape.
