MPD: Suspects pull victim from Jeep outside of gas station

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are looking for a pair of suspects they say pulled a victim from his Jeep and attempted to carjack him outside of a gas station.

On June 24 at 8:42 a.m., officers responded to a carjacking at 3388 Macon Road. They were told that the victim exited the Macon Express gas station after servicing the gambling machines.

The victim placed a backpack containing an undetermined amount of currency on the backseat of his 2021 green Jeep Wrangler.

As the victim entered the driver’s seat of the car, two armed men exited the gas station and allegedly pointed handguns at the victim while demanding the car.

The victim attempted to get into his vehicle and drive away but was pulled from the Jeep and thrown to the ground.

Both suspects fled the scene, going West on Macon towards Holmes Street.

The victim remained in possession of the Jeep Wrangler keys following the incident.

Police believe the suspects frequent 3388 Macon Road and may live there. One of the suspects was seen on video days before the incident.
