Father, son hold burglary suspect on Summer Ave. until police arrive

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say a father and son were able to catch one of two burglars they caught stealing from their Summer Avenue property late Sunday night.

Christopher Jones, 36, was taken into custody and charged with burglary of a business and burglary of a vehicle.

The victims said they were driving down Summer when they spotted Jones inside a truck parked next to their building in Highland Heights. They said Jones was removing the seats from the back of the vehicle.

The owner of what used to be Nationwide Investment Group said he also noticed the fence around the property had been damaged, and another man was trying to get inside the back of the business.
