Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is gearing up for a comeback season after facing challenges over the past two years. Morant’s 2023-24 season was cut short after just nine games due to a shoulder injury, following an NBA suspension the year prior. But with his return to the court, fans are also buzzing about the release of his latest signature shoe: the Nike Ja 2.
The highly anticipated Ja 2 “Induction” is scheduled to drop on September 26, 2024, at 7:00 AM via Nike’s SNKRS website. Fans are eager to get their hands on Morant’s second signature shoe after the immense success of the Ja 1, which sold out in minutes upon its release last year.
In Nike’s description of the shoe, they explained the inspiration behind the new colorway:
“When other schools overlooked Ja coming out of high school, Murray State saw greatness in the explosive point guard, a certain potential to be something special. The rest is Racer history. This special design salutes Ja’s induction into school lore, the literal and figurative launch pad the flair-filled superstar used to send himself into outer orbit.”
