MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Doctors call it an incredibly important but neglected disease. Memphis has some of the highest rates of sickle cell among babies in the entire nation. For this Sickle Cell Awareness month, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is highlighting how they are working to bring a new era of hope for kids with the disease.
