Wing with a 7’2 wingspan could be a perfect fit in Memphis

The Memphis Grizzlies are looking to contend in the Western Conference, but one key issue still plagues their roster: Wing depth.

According to Bleacher Report’s Dan Favale , “Properly sized wings who can stretch the floor in the half-court remain the Grizzlies’ biggest need.”

“It’s a void as old as time,” Favale adds.

With GG Jackson II sidelined due to injury, the urgency to find a solution has only increased. Memphis needs a versatile wing who can defend multiple positions and stretch the floor, allowing Ja Morant and Desmond Bane to thrive offensively.

Favale suggests De’Andre Hunter, the 26-year-old forward from the Atlanta Hawks, as the ideal solution to these problems.

The trade proposal

In Favale’s trade scenario, the Memphis Grizzlies would receive De’Andre Hunter, while the Atlanta Hawks would get Brandon Clarke, John Konchar, a 2027 second-round pick, and a 2031 second-round pick.

Although Hunter has had some injury concerns and inconsistency, he brings much-needed size and versatility to Memphis.
