Video: Man shot in robbery at Summer Ave. storage facility

MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Police are looking for several people involved in a violent robbery and burglary at a storage facility in northeast Memphis.

A man was attacked and shot early Tuesday morning at the Storage Locker in the 6300 block of Summer Avenue.

Investigators said the victim was ambushed by four people when he opened the door of an apartment at the facility. The man said the suspects demanded money, hit him on the head, shot him in the leg, and took several items.

It’s unclear if the victim was an employee living on the property.

In a surveillance video released by MPD, you can see a masked man fire at least three shots toward the business before getting into a silver SUV. The video also shows at least six others leave in the vehicle.
