Ja Morant, who missed most of last season due to suspension and injury, is poised to make a comeback in the 2024-25 campaign and carry the Memphis Grizzlies back into the playoffs.
He will be doing so in his new signature shoes. After months of leaks, Nike has officially revealed Ja Morant’s Ja 2 sneakers.
Diverse colorways
The Ja 2s are a successor to the very successful Ja 1s, released in February 2023.
“From the Ja 1 to the Ja 2, the core things remain the same. The work ethic doesn’t change,” Morant said.
Nike has continued collaborating with the Memphis Grizzlies superstar despite Ja’s off-court incidents. According to a Nike press release, the new sneakers are about comfort and innovation.
“It’s about comforty, more bounce and bringing my fans into some different storytelling they may not know. We tell those stories through the colorways of my shoe,” Nike stated.
The Ja 2s will feature five colorways: Purple Sky, Foundation, Nightmare, Tree Topper, and In the Woods.
