MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A juvenile is in critical condition as a result of a car crashing into a Northeast Memphis residence on Monday, Memphis police say.
At 2:37 p.m., officers responded to a crash at Macon Road and Mullins Station Road.
When they arrived, they came in contact with an MFD Unit who told them that both occupants of a Toyota Camry were taken to Le Bonheur Medical.
The passenger was taken in critical condition and her mother, the driver of the Camry, was riding with the ambulance.
Officers spoke with a witness who told them that he stopped the westbound turning lane, preparing to turn southbound on Mullins Station Rd.
He said that he saw the Toyota Camry traveling eastbound on Macon Road. The Camry attempted to pass the vehicle in front of it, using the center turning lane.

The witness said that the driver of the Camry must not have seen him stopped in the turning lane because the car swerved to avoid hitting both cars.
