Woman accused of shooting at family after argument in mall parking lot

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is facing attempted murder charges after Memphis Police say she shot at a family after an argument in the Oak Court Mall parking lot.

Denise Norris, 38, was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder for the incident.

On Sunday, Memphis Police responded to a shooting at Oak Court Drive and Southern Avenue.

A male victim told them that he was driving his black 2019 Dodge Durango which was occupied by a woman in the front passenger seat and his juvenile daughter in the back seat.

He claimed he and other family members were occupying two other separate vehicles as they exited the Oak Court Mall parking lot and turned northbound on Oak Court Drive when they were shot at multiple times.

He said his vehicle was struck once on the driver’s side fuel door.

He said that the alleged shooter was an unknown woman driving a white GMC Yukon XL.

According to the victim, the shooter continued southbound on Oak Court Drive toward Southern Avenue.
