Prosecutor killed in car crash, Shelby County DA’s office says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Prosecutor and former judge Donna Fields was killed after a car accident on Monday, according to the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.

Fields served as a judge before joining the District Attorney’s Office in retirement.

“Donna Fields was a relentless advocate for justice, especially for those who had no voice,” said DA Stever Mulroy. “She didn’t have to return to work, but she chose to because of her deep love for animals and her steadfast commitment to justice.”
