Be prepared for black ice as the Mid-South braces for incoming artic blast

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A strong cold front will bring not only the potential for strong to severe storms, but also the threat for a “flash freeze” early Monday. The Mid-South is expecting around an 1-1.5 inches of rain with Sunday’s low pressure system. With morning temperatures rapidly plummeting to the 20s early Monday, there’s the likelihood that any moisture left on the ground will freeze.
