Ethics complaint against Memphis Fire Chief dismissed

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An ethics complaint filed against the Chief of the Memphis Fire Department was dismissed on Friday but despite the ruling, the legal battle is taking a new turn.

On Monday morning, the individuals who filed the ethics complaint plan to publicly discuss the allegations against MFD Chief, Gina Sweat.

In an email to WREG, one of the complainants, Antoine Maxwell, mentioned his proposal to resolve the matter, writing, “We can no longer go about business as usual. It must be addressed and removal is necessary at this point.”
