MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead after being hit by a car early Thursday morning in the Nutbush area, Memphis Police confirm.
Around 1:20 a.m., officers say they responded to a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Jackson Avenue and Orchi Road. A man was found injured at the scene.

Officers say a driver hit the male pedestrian and left the scene. The driver was said to be in a silver metallic Chrysler 300 with front passenger-side damage, dragging the rear bumper.
