CORDOVA, Tenn. – Deputies are searching for a man they say fired a gunshot before running off after robbing a Dollar General store in Cordova, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday.
Just after 11:15 Saturday morning, SCSO said, deputies were sent to the Dollar General on Berryhill Road near Chimneyrock Boulevard for an armed robbery call. When they arrived, the deputies said they were told that a man armed with a handgun had fired one shot before running off with just over $300 in cash.
The sheriff’s office said no one was injured, and deputies were still searching the area for the suspect…
