Tennessee Tornado Watch: Nashville, Memphis, and 35 Counties Under Alert Until 11 PM Sunday

Nashville, TN – A tornado watch has been issued for much of western and middle Tennessee, including major cities such as Nashville, Memphis, and Jackson. The alert remains in effect until 11 p.m. CDT Sunday, impacting 35 counties across the state.

According to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center, Tornado Watch 60 was issued at 3:15 p.m. CDT and covers areas from Shelby County in the southwest to Davidson County in the central part of the state. Other counties under watch include Madison, Montgomery, Williamson, and Obion.

Residents in the affected areas are urged to remain alert and monitor weather updates throughout the evening. Conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes, along with damaging wind gusts and large hail.
