A suspect has been taken into custody by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) in connection to a series of carjacking’s and thefts that have troubled the community. A report by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, shared on their Facebook page, details how the suspect was apprehended following an extensive investigation.
According to the post by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 4100 block of Hacks Cross Rd. on March 18, following reports of a carjacking where a victim was forcibly removed from her vehicle while pumping gas. The perpetrator, described as a black male, crashed the vehicle during his attempt to flee. Detectives with the BRAT’s (Burglary Robbery Auto Theft) unit managed to track the stolen vehicle to the Parkway Village area, finding an additional vehicle reported stolen out of Memphis.
