MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Police (MPD) on Thursday identified two suspects who recently robbed several Dollar General and Family Dollar stores across Shelby County as an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old.
Police said Marcus Veasley, 18, and the teen robbed a Dollar General on Macon Road and a Family Dollar on Sycamore View on Wednesday afternoon. Officers went to both scenes and later learned that the two robbery suspects were at another Family Dollar on Summer Avenue.
At the last location, one of the suspects went inside the store with a rifle and demanded money before taking off in a stolen car. Their vehicle was spotted by a helicopter just minutes later and found parked at a vacant house near Buntyn Street and Midland Avenue.
