MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is now in jail after police say he shot a man in front of his South Memphis home two months ago.
Ervin James, 39, is charged with aggravated assault, domestic assault-bodily harm, and criminal attempt second-degree murder. He is currently held in jail on a $100,000 bond.
On February 5, officers say they were called to a domestic situation at a home in the 1700 block of McMillian Street. A man was found on the ground in front of the house, suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim told police it started when he and the suspect, later identified as Ervin James, got into a verbal argument earlier that day. He says that’s what led to the suspect shooting him…
