The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office said they have reason to believe that a wanted Memphis man is in their area. They are on the lookout for Justin Johnson who is wanted on a count of aggravated animal cruelty.
The Memphis Police Department issued a warrant for 34-year-old Justin Johnson on a charge of Aggravated Animal Cruelty after a disturbing incident involving the abuse of a dog at a South Memphis business.
The incident happened on March 27 around 11:30 p.m. at Dodge’s Chicken, located at 5192 South Third Street. Surveillance footage captured a male subject violently striking a dog in the backseat of a vehicle. The dog could be heard crying out in pain as the abuse took place. The man then left the scene with the dog in a white Kia.
The Memphis Police Department, working alongside Memphis Animal Services, launched an immediate investigation. By March 29, investigators at Raines Station were able to identify the suspect as Justin Johnson…
