First Alert Forecast: passing shower Friday; quiet weekend ahead

FRIDAY: A sunny start will give way to clouds rolling back into from the north through the course of the afternoon hours. A few showers will shift southward through mid-late afternoon. Small hail could mix in in a few of the downpours. Highs will tend to run cooler – in the lower to middle 60s. Skies turn clear as lows fall back into the upper 30s and lower 40s into early Saturday.

WEEKEND PLANNER: A stellar weekend is on tap across the Mid-South. Expect a seasonably cool and bright Saturday – after a chilly start, we’ll rebound into the middle to, a few, upper 60s. Southerly winds kick up Sunday pushing highs toward the middle to upper 70s Sunday with mostly sunny skies.

EXTENDED FORECAST: An approaching front will bring a chance for a few showers late Monday. Before the front swings through, we’ll top out near 80 Monday. Behind the front seasonable 70s through much of next week. A disturbance will bring back another chance of rain by Thursday and early Friday with a, generally, quiet Easter weekend ahead…
