Mid-South bank robbed by man waiting on tellers to take money to ATM, police say

OAKLAND, Tenn. – A thief robbed an Oakland bank Monday morning, according to the Oakland, Tennessee Police Department (OPD).

OPD said a man was waiting outside of The Bank of Fayette County on Highway 64 around 10:20 a.m. when tellers carried cash drawers out to the ATM.

The robber approached the tellers and demanded the money, according to police. OPD said the tellers followed his commands, and the robber sped off in a black Jeep Wrangler with a hard top…
