Officer shoots dog after attack in Frayser, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis police officer shot a dog in Frayser after it charged at him Monday, police say.

At 10:41 a.m., officers responded to a call in the 1700 block of Dellwood Avenue. The victim was bitten by a dog and transported to Methodist North in non-critical condition.

Police say a responding officer was attacked by a dog, and the officer shot the dog. The officer was not injured, and the dog is alive.

A neighbor told WREG that a thrift store worker was attacked by several dogs Monday morning, and they said there are other dogs in the house…
