Former MSCS Supt. Feagins files motion in effort to overturn firing

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Dr. Marie Feagins, the former superintendent who was ousted earlier this year, is fighting to get the school board’s firing decision voided.

According to court documents, Feagins filed a motion on June 23, seeking an injunction that would overturn the board’s dismissal.

The Memphis-Shelby County School Board voted to terminate Feagins’ contract with the school district on January 21, effectively removing her as the district’s top educator…
