MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – In an effort to solve a persistent problem piling up in the Douglass community, LeAndrea Taylor is drafting up a plan to remove the Memphis Tire Recyclers from her neighborhood.
“My goal is to honestly hold this organization accountable for what they’ve done in the community, get it cleaned up and possibly move out of here because I don’t know how this can be controlled,” said Taylor.
The Memphis Tire Recyclers facility is where thousands of discarded and decaying tires are stacked at 2800 Chelsea Avenue.
