MPD says officer ran red light, caused East Memphis crash

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis Police officer was cited after running a red light and causing a multi-car crash in East Memphis early Wednesday morning.

A little after 6:50 a.m., officers say they responded to the three-vehicle crash at the intersection of North White Station Road and Walnut Grove Road.

An infant involved in the crash was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition as a precaution due to their age, but no injuries were reported.
