MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A few strong storms have developed across eastern Arkansas, but have been diminishing in intensity as they approach the river Monday afternoon.
These storms are below severe limits, but brief heavy rain and gusting winds should be expected.
The Severe Storms Prediction Center has placed us in a “Marginal Risk” for severe weather Monday, based on gusting winds, brief heavy rain and hail pockets.
The rain is also cooling us down, as temperatures forecast in the lower 90s have been producing heat index values near 100.
