MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is now in jail after police say he shot three homes and a car in Frayser a year ago, which left a child injured.
Martavius Bernard, 22, is charged with three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of vandalism $1,000 or less, vandalism $1,000 – $2,500, and reckless driving.
On July 27, 2024, officers say they responded to a shooting call at a home in the 1900 block of Durham Avenue around 11:05 p.m. They say the home had a broken front window, and bullet casings were found at the intersection of Argonne Street and Durham Avenue.
One of the victims told police a man had come by her grandmother’s house to talk. She says that when she went to get her grandmother, the man threw a large brick through the window after she refused to answer the door.
