MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The woman accused of staying inside a hotel room with the remains of her deceased daughter was in court on Monday morning.
Kimberly Moore is charged with abuse of a corpse and failure to report the discovery of a dead body. If she is found guilty on the two charges, she could spend just under seven years in jail.
“Abuse of a corpse – you have a class A misdemeanor with failure to report, with the Class C – you’re facing a minimum of one year in prison and a maximum of six,” said Judge Sheila Bruce-Renfroe.
