Two men charged with leading police on 100 mph chase

MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Two men were arrested Tuesday after allegedly leading state troopers on a 100 mph chase over curbs and into oncoming traffic in a Ford F-150.

Lugene Moore, 31, and Tray’vion Smith, 27, were arrested and charged with evading arrest in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon (motor vehicle), reckless driving and several other traffic offenses.

It’s not clear who was driving the truck — a trooper said the two men gave conflicting statements after they were captured.

At 12:46 a.m., both men were driving on East Shelby Drive near Interstate 55 going 63 mph in a 40 mph zone, according to a state trooper…
